
Dr. Nashed was born and raised in Egypt then moved to Massachusetts in his early teens. He
attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA where he graduated Magna Cum
Laude in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Nashed earned his dental degree from the
University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine, where he was repeatedly elected by his
classmates to serve as their Class President all four years and was chosen to serve on the
admission committee of the university.
Dr. Nashed earned many prestigious awards including the Fox award-recognizing the best
overall dental student in his graduating class, Special Care Dentistry Association/Academy of
Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities Student Award, and Outstanding Student Leader Award
awarded by the American College of Dentists in recognition of one senior dental student who
demonstrated leadership and outstanding scholastic performance. Upon graduation he was
inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society which is reserved
for the top 10% academic average, service, and professionalism among dental graduates.
Dr. Nashed completed his postgraduate specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at nationally
ranked Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC where he received
extensive training in all areas of pediatric dentistry including craniofacial anomalies, trauma
management, treating and counseling children with cleft lip and palate, as well as special needs
and medically compromised patients.
When not taking care of your children, Dr. Nashed, enjoys teaching pediatric dentistry to future
dentists as a volunteer, Dean’s Faculty member at the University of Maryland School of
Dental medicine.
Dr. Nashed and his fiance, Marina, enjoy spending time with his family and friends, traveling,
global dental outreach, biking, and spending time outdoors.
